One star for my step-mom who payed my coffee and another for the coffee that was really good. As per the the waitress Zahia, she had a very upsetting face and was not welcoming or clean. We were told we could refill our coffee but when we went back there was no coffee left and going to get a refill seemed like a demand. She continues to get her change in the tip jar by hand, manipulates it and then grabs a coffee filter without washing her hands. We came back later for a coffee but she disappeared from the cash. Change of shift.. Anyways the coffee was great. It's not fun to feel like you're demanding something of someone when you're a paying client. Staff needs work on using there smiles.

The decor is nice enough and the employee serving us at the time adequately pleasant but I am not there to eat the chairs nor the counter girl although perhaps that might have been the better choice.

My son and wife ordered a chocolate mousse cake and an eclair respectively. I myself had a raisin danish.

I have travelled abroad and eaten at some high class pastry places. I enjoy pastries too much and so must avoid them as much as possible. When I do determine that I am entitled to one, I do not want to waste my moment on inferior quality. Unfortunately, La Parisienne fails to live up to the heritage of its name by offering what I can only call garbage.

I arrived home, made myself a coffee and excitedly anticipated the first bite of the samples both my son and wife had given me. There was a subtle yet undeniable taste of freezer burn. We've all experienced that taste. Freezer burn has the ability to reduce the greatest of flavours to a tragic demise. A food which once coaxed our pallets, filled our lungs which succulent scents, is laid to waste when the icy stale air of the freezer ravages these once proud culinary delights. Often it happens through ignorance or by accident, perhaps a torn bag, a ruptured seal, a shattered plastic storage container but here at La Parisienne it is a conscious choice to place these pastries in the freezer. It is part of their operational plans. It is a sacrilege committed by design. If such behaviours were attempted in Austria, ha, ha, ha, the perpetrator would be lucky to leave with his head intact.

My danish did not fare any better and had the tell tale texture of a pastry past its short lived prime. As my teeth bit into the flesh of this dessert my final hope that I would find redemption with my selection was thoroughly quashed. I fumed.

I telephoned the cafe and asked if in fact their desserts were frozen, the girl confirmed that some were. I mentioned that my danish was stale and she said I could get a reimbursement. Poor child, she did not comprehend. I could care less about a reimbursement. All I sought was a foray into an ecstasy of sweet abandon which this parking lot cafe was unable to provide.

Ordered a vegetable wrap with goat cheese and avocado that looked very good. Little did I know that it consisted of a 2 pieces of pepper, salad and cheap guacamole with goat cheese. It was the 2nd time that I was disappointed with the food there.
Lattes are not good either. I did like some of the pastries though but I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody but there is little choice in the area.
